The Indian Planetary Science Association (IPSA) announces the 8th Indian Planetary Science Conference (IPSC-2027), to be hosted by the Physical Research Laboratory (PRL), Ahmedabad, from 27–30 January 2027.

Physical Research Laboratory (PRL) is a premier national research institution under the aegis of the Department of Space, Government of India. Founded in 1947 by Dr. Vikram A. Sarabhai, PRL is known as the "Cradle of Space Sciences" in India.

Registration & abstracts

How to register, submit an abstract and prepare your presentation. The abstract template and remaining details will be added here soon.

Step 1

Registration

  • Registration is required for all participants: presenting authors, co-authors and attendees.
  • On registering you receive a Registration ID by e-mail. Use it for abstract submission, fee payment and all correspondence.
  • Registration fees and payment details are given on the Registration page.

Step 2

Abstract Submission

  • Submit your abstract through the online form with your Registration ID and registered e-mail address. The abstract text is entered in the form (plain text, up to 3000 characters).
  • Indicate your preference for an oral or poster presentation. The final mode is decided by the committee.
  • Abstracts should present original work. All abstracts will be reviewed, and the decision will be conveyed to the corresponding author.
  • After submitting you receive a confirmation e-mail with a link to edit your abstract until the deadline.
  • Please follow the timeline.

Presentations

Instructions for presenters

The format below follows IPSC-2026 and will be confirmed by the Programme Organising Committee.

Oral presentations

  • 10 minutes per contributed talk, including 2 minutes for discussion.
  • Slides in PPT, PPTX or PDF format, uploaded well before your session.

Poster presentations

  • Poster size A0 (84.1 cm × 118.9 cm), portrait orientation.
  • Each poster presenter gives a 2-minute flash talk in a dedicated session, with at most 3 slides.

How to pay

  1. Register and note the Registration ID sent to you by e-mail.
  2. Pay the registration fee online using the payment link in that e-mail (payment link to be announced). Enter your Registration ID on the payment page, so your payment can be matched to your registration.
  3. Keep the transaction reference number for your records. There is no need to e-mail a receipt; we will contact you if a payment cannot be matched.

Getting to Ahmedabad

IPSC-2027 will be held at the Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad. Details of the venue hall, accommodation and local transport will be announced by the Local Organising Committee.

  • By rail: Ahmedabad Junction (ADI), connected to all major cities.
